After a cluster of reviews back in late September and early October, a couple of weeks went by without much in the way of new comment. Then in the last few days, two new reviews of No Going Back appeared, both positive, plus a positive mention in an online site for faithful Mormons dealing with same-gender attraction.

Well, it’s happened at last. I’ve given in to the pressure, joined the 21st century (only about a decade late), and am now officially a blogger. Or at least, that’s what they tell me…
First, a bit about who I am. I’m Jonathan Langford, a professional informational writer and editor, a recently published novelist, husband, father of three, and a committed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon, or LDS Church). The novel is titled No Going Back, published in fall 2009 by Zarahemla Books. It’s a coming-of-age story about a teenage Mormon kid who is same-sex attracted — in other words, gay — and it’s the main reason I’m starting this blog right now.
The current plan is for me to post here a couple of times a week, mostly about how things are going with my book (though I suspect I’ll branch out over time). Comments are welcome, indeed invited, and may be posted anonymously, though due to the nature of my book (a gay teen Mormon coming-of-age novel) I feel the need to prescreen comments before allowing them to be posted.
